SSC CGL 2017 Tier1 Examination dates announced

In a latest notification SSC has Changed the examination dates for CGL Tier1 examinations. SSC earlier announced dates for SSC CGL Tier 1 Examinations which was scheduled to be held in August from 1st to 20th. In a latest announcement SSC declared the the dates will be updated for tier1 examinations.

Here we are updating the new dates for SSC CGL Tier 1 Examinations.

Modification in the SSC CGL 2017 Tier1 Examination dates

The new Examination dates are 5th August to 24th August. Now the students preparing for CGL Examination have got some more time for preparation of Tier 1 examinations.

Old dates (SSC CGL Tier 1) New dates (SSC CGL Tier 1)
1st August to 20th August 5th August to 24th August

Except 7th ,13th ,14th & 15th

SSC has also declared on 7th , 13th , 14th and 15th No examination will be organized.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination, 2017

SSC CGL is conducted every year for selecting candidates for various posts. This year 2017, CGL will be conducted in four parts i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4. The dates for all the examination has been announced by SSC. Only those who will qualify in Tier 1 will get a chance to appear in Tier 2 Examinations. The dates for Tier 2 examination are 10.11.2017 & 11.11.2017.

Now for proper planning and preparation you must know the examination pattern and the syllabus. Here we are providing you the latest scheme for tier 2 examinations. The most important is the mode of examination, like tier 1 Examination as we told earlier the tier 2 examination will also be online. There will be objective multiple choice questions.

Negative Marking: –

There will negative marking in tier 2 also. For paper I, III and IV there will be negative marking of 0.5 for each incorrect answer. For paper II, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.


Written Examination Scheme (Tier-II)

  • Paper-I & II will be compulsory for all the categories of posts.
  • Paper-III is only for those candidates who applied for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)
  • Paper IV is only for the candidates who applied for Assistant Audit Officer (AAO)/Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO).
